Comparative Study on Minimally Invasive Removal of Lung Cancer (LARCS)
Zusammenfassung der Studie
In early-stage lung cancer, cancer cells are removed using minimally invasive surgical procedures to treat the cancer. All individuals undergoing such surgery can participate in this study.
In our research project, we aim to investigate recovery and quality of life after a minimally invasive surgical procedure for the treatment of early-stage lung cancer. To do this, we would like to collect information to better understand how the treatment you receive affects you.
The surgeon will perform the minimally invasive procedure using a robotic or video-assisted surgical device as usual. The surgical instruments used are not experimental, and the procedures performed with them are also not experimental.
The study team will collect some data about you as well as your health status before, during, and after the surgery. Additionally, data regarding the surgery itself will be recorded (e.g., details of the procedure and clinical measurements).
If you decide to participate, you will need to complete 3 quality of life questionnaires before the surgery, after discharge from the hospital, and 1 month, 3 months, and 6 months after the surgery.
Your participation in the study ends after completing your 6-month questionnaire, and we will not collect any further data after that time.
