Summary description of the study
Dies ist eine prospektive, doppelblinde, randomisierte, placebokontrollierte, multizentrische, zweigleisige klinische Parallelgruppenstudie der Phase II zur Bewertung der Wirksamkeit und Verträglichkeit einer rektalen Behandlung mit Budesonid-Zäpfchen im Vergleich zu Placebo-Zäpfchen zur Linderung von RAP-Symptomen, die durch Strahlentherapie (RT) bei Prostatakrebs bei männlichen Patienten im Alter von 18 Jahren oder älter verursacht werden.

Budenofalk® 4 mg Zäpfchen wurden 2023 von der Europäischen Arzneimittelagentur (EMA) zur Behandlung der akuten Colitis ulcerosa (UC) zugelassen, die auf das Rektum beschränkt ist (ulzerative Proktitis).
Es gibt einen klaren Grund, Budesonid-Zäpfchen als Intervention zur Linderung der Symptome der Strahlenproktitis zu testen, da die Strahlenproktitis pathophysiologische und symptomatische Ähnlichkeiten mit der Colitis ulcerosa aufweist. - Männliche Patienten, die mindestens 18 Jahre alt sind zum Zeitpunkt der Unterzeichnung der Einverständniserklärung
- Diagnose eines Prostatakarzinoms (primär oder biochemisches Rezidiv)
- Lokale Strahlentherapie mittels externer Strahlentherapie geplant

- Behandlung mittels Brachytherapie
- Morbus Crohn, unbestimmte Kolitis, ischämische Kolitis, Colitis ulcerosa, mikroskopische Kolitis (d. h. kollagene oder lymphozytäre Kolitis)
- Innere Hämorrhoiden Grad III
