Einnahme von Probiotikum mit Streptococcus salivarius K12 Bakterien: Besiedlung der Mundhöhle, Auswirkungen auf die Mundflora und orale Entzündungswerte
Summary description of the study
Probiotika enthalten lebende Mikroorganismen, die einen gesundheitlichen Nutzen mit sich bringen sollten. Die Lutschtabletten BIOTICS-O von Burgerstein enthalten lebende Streptococcus salivarius BLIS® K12 Bakterien und sollten die Mund- und Rachenflora optimal unterstützen. In dieser Pilotstudie wird der Effekt von BIOTICS-O untersucht. 12 gesunde Probanden werden während 4 Wochen täglich eine Lutschtablette konsumieren. Speichel- und Zahnbelags-Proben werden vor, während und nach der Behandlungsphase untersucht. Die Hauptfragestellung ist, ob sich die probiotischen Bakterien Streptococcus salivarius BLIS® K12 im Mundraum ansiedeln können und ob sie die Zusammensetzung der Mundflora beeinflussen können. Daneben wird der Speichel der Probanden auch auf Entzündungsmarker untersucht, um einen möglichen Effekt auf das Immunsystem zu messen. Durch diese Pilotstudie wird die Einflussnahme von BIOTICS-O auf die Mundgesundheit abgeschätzt.

- Gesunde erwachsene Personen (> 18 Jahre) - Keine unbehandelte Karies oder aktive parodontale Erkrankung (BASEC)
Exclusion criteria
- Einnahme von entzündungshemmenden Medikamenten, antimikrobiellen Substanzen und Probiotika in den letzten 4 Wochen (BASEC)
