Summary description of the study

Questo studio esamina se i trattamenti con LSD possono migliorare la neuroplasticità, ovvero la capacità del cervello di organizzarsi, in persone di età superiore ai 55 anni. Tali scoperte potrebbero essere preziose per lo sviluppo di nuove terapie per i disturbi mentali. Persone sane interessate che soddisfano i criteri di inclusione parteciperanno per 3 mesi a 7 visite in laboratorio. Riceveranno una dose di LSD determinata casualmente tra 0 e 0,1 mg. Né loro né il team sanno quale dose ricevono (studio in doppio cieco). L'LSD può temporaneamente alterare la percezione, ma è sicuro negli studi. Gli effetti a lungo termine sono sconosciuti. Gli effetti potenziali saranno discussi prima dell'assunzione. Un ricercatore sarà sempre al tuo fianco durante lo studio. Saranno effettuate misurazioni EEG, prelevati campioni di sangue e risolverai compiti al computer e compilerai questionari. Lo studio è conforme alle leggi svizzere ed è stato approvato dal comitato etico locale. I tuoi dati saranno trattati in modo confidenziale.

Fisicamente e mentalmente sani Età superiore ai 55 anni BMI tra 18 e 29 (BASEC)

Exclusion criteria
Consumo eccessivo di sostanze (inclusi nicotina, alcol, droghe e farmaci) Storia personale o familiare di disturbi psicotici Ipertensione arteriosa (BASEC)
